If you are appearing for the CUET PG 2026 examination, it is very important to know what items are allowed and what items are strictly prohibited inside the examination hall. Following the guidelines set by the National Testing Agency (NTA) will help you avoid any last-minute problems on the exam day.
This guide explains everything you can carry and cannot carry in the exam hall.
Items Allowed in the Examination Hall
Candidates are permitted to bring the following items:
1. Transparent Water Bottle
You may carry a personal transparent water bottle to stay hydrated during the examination.
2. Admit Card
You must bring your CUET PG 2026 admit card downloaded from the NTA website.
- It should be a clear printout on A4 size paper.
- The admit card must be properly filled and signed as required.
3. Passport Size Photographs
Carry two additional passport-size photographs. These may be required for pasting on the attendance sheet at the exam centre.
4. Original Valid ID Proof
Candidates must carry an original valid ID proof for identity verification. Examples include:
- Aadhaar Card
- PAN Card
- Passport
- Voter ID
- Driving License
5. Transparent Blue or Black Pen
Candidates must bring a transparent blue or black pen to mark responses on the OMR sheet.
Items Not Allowed in the Examination Hall
The following items are strictly prohibited inside the exam centre:
1. Non-Transparent Pens
Pens that are not transparent are not allowed.
2. Electronic Devices
Any type of electronic device is prohibited, including:
- Smart watches
- Calculators
- Earphones
- Bluetooth devices
3. Mobile Phones or Metal Items
Candidates must not carry mobile phones or metal objects inside the examination hall.
4. Thick Sole Shoes or Footwear
Footwear with thick soles is not permitted. It is advisable to wear simple sandals or slippers.
5. Certain Types of Garments
Some types of garments may not be allowed, especially those with:
- Large pockets
- Metallic accessories
- Suspicious attachments
