There were several practical reasons behind Ritesh’s decision:
1. Course Duration- The MCA program at DU is of 2 years, while MCA through NIMCET in NITs is a 3-year course.
2. Affordable Fee Structure -The fee structure at DU is much lower compared to NITs.
3. Strong Coding Foundation -Ritesh already had strong coding skills developed during graduation.
4. Location Advantage -Delhi University is located in Delhi, closer to his home.
5. Prior Competitive Exposure- He had already participated in and organized several coding competitions during his bachelor’s degree.

The placement scenario at Delhi University has shown consistent improvement, especially for MCA and MSc Computer Science students.
