Assertion (A) is False:

The LOOK algorithm does not go all the way to the physical end of the disk. Instead, it only moves as far as the last request in the current direction before reversing. Going all the way to the physical ends (regardless of requests) is a characteristic of the SCAN (Elevator) algorithm, not LOOK.

Reason (R) is True:

LOOK specifically looks ahead at the pending requests in the queue before changing direction, meaning it reverses as soon as it services the final request in that specific direction, saving unnecessary head movement.
